farewell to 2020!
We have finally made it to the end of this tumultuous year! It has been quite the experience for all I am sure, and we are almost into 2021. Some of us didn’t know how we would make it through this year but we are still here. Some of us lost loved ones, jobs may have been affected, many businesses were impacted, and children had to readjust to a whole new way of learning. Masks and hand sanitizer were the hottest commodities this year and almost everyone now has the Zoom app on their phones or tablet. The world quickly found ways to adapt to current conditions and shifted everything to become safer at home.
We don’t know what 2021 will bring but my plan is to be more intentional in my approach to life day to day. This year has taught me a few things: One, I have to value my time and everyone else’s time. No one has the power to replace time so who are we to waste it? Two, love and cherish those that mean the most to me. During the shutdown, the time that I was able to spend with my husband and children was one of the few highlights of this year. I was able to interact with them more, take care of myself more, and just be there. That time is truly invaluable. Three, I have to start utilizing my gifts and talents to make room for me and to be a blessing to others. Something inside of me was unlocked when I realized that giving to others provides joy and fulfillment that you cannot put a price tag on.
I am truly, truly grateful for everyone that has supported me in any way. I am going into this next year with the purpose of adding more value to my community, continuing my education, and expanding my business to provide better service to my clients and support for upcoming beauty professionals that I intend to pour into. None of this would be possible without the support of you all, and I am forever grateful.
Cheers to 2021!
