Who Is Xin Marie?

The question I am probably asked the most is: "Where did the name Xin Marie come from?" Marie is actually my middle name. Xin is a shortened version of a nickname given to me by my husband a few years before we were married. "Xinnamon is your alter-ego" he said. I loved it so much that I created a second Facebook page using the name Xinnamon. It went well for about 9 months until the Facebook police came knocking and demanded that I show proof of it being my actual name or, change it. I didn't want to change it! I had grown into the name and it was so unique. I shortened the name to Xin to see if that would be acceptable along with my real name, Marie, and it stuck.

There the name was born, Xin Marie.

When I decided to get back into the hair industry, I used my Xin Marie Facebook profile to promote myself and recruit clients. As the business grew and I decided that I would be doing this long-term, I took the name and registered it as my business name.
